I doubt there are builds designed specifically for cartography. In low level zones, you can pretty much take a tank/running build and have 30 mobs following you and hitting you with 0 damage (or even some that don't attack at all), while in high level areas is impossible to do this (well at least with a ranger) and actually have to clear the whole zone. You can't rush cartography, you must go to the edges of every zone. But fortunately, Cantha is so small and sure can get done in a few days. And as a ranger I suggest you go shutting down casters with [Broad Head Arrow], especially http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Ssyn_Coiled_Grasp

Yeah, most people are vanquishing areas with either of these builds. And if you're gonna kill everything. You might as well scrape the whole area for the Cartography Title while you're at it.

Use Shru's Ranger set up. SY Ranger

There isn't like, a mega-super-ultra bond/protector combo?

No. Like it was stated. In order to hit all the nooks an crannys of all the map area. You gotta do a whole lot of killing. Take one of the 2 Hero/Hench teams I linked and go to it.

Cartography and Vanquishing should honestly be done together, as you really have the best results clearing the map when you kill everything as you go. Cartography isn't something you can really run through with any effectiveness.

I find Earth Shaker Ranger fun to play with myself. I want to run a Warrior, but my Ranger is my main character. I just went with the weapon for making things fall on the floor.
Sabway included.
